"I am unique....."
What is and hybrid program? Why is it used?
We give emergent learners the academic head-start and the "life skills" they will need to succeed in future stages of their development. We provide a well-rounded curriculum of inclusive culture diversity, engaging activity and balanced structure and free play. For this we have studied preschool teaching philosophies such as the:
Our small group program was created to help our own children transition from their home to school. As parents we watched our kids have difficulties acclimating to large groups and lots of information. Because learning is not a one-size fits all system, we came up with a more intimate approach to help them and fit the needs of other children also struggling in a large group settings.
The Montessori philosophy fosters personal responsibility, such as preparing their own snacks and cleaning up their toys, a practice we have incorporated into our program. Additionally, mixed age groups learn together and children are encouraged to help each other learn. Learning Without Tears is a multi-sensory learning platform that uses play, song and wooden pieces to introduce early literacy and math skills. Not only do these activities provide a fun immersion into education but they facilitate the transition into the LVJUSD mainstream K-12 programs.
